The stereotypical ‘cover girl’ is portrayed with youthful skin, twinkly-eyes, pearly white teeth and size 6 bodies. Does this define beauty? We interpret beauty as people who have lived through the struggles of life and are still smiling and happy. We took inspiration from Diego Mena’s collection of photographs for ’96 years of smiling’ in which it portrayed eternal beauty throughout age.
